These pumpkin donuts are not only easy to make but also family-friendly. With just a handful of ingredients and about 30 minutes, you’ll have moist, tender donuts that taste like they came from a bakery. The pumpkin keeps them light and soft, while the cinnamon sugar adds the perfect crunch.

1. Mix well bread flour, yeast, milk powder, sugar and salt in a mixing bowl. 2. Add steamed pumpkin, egg yolk and milk then mix with a hand mixer until well combined. 3. Add butter and knead on high speed until the dough elastic or for about 12 minutes.

4. Round the dough and cover the bowl with plastic wrap then allow the dough to rest and rise for 30 minutes or until doubled in size. 5. After 30 minutes, divide the dough into 16 and make a smooth ball shape with your hand then put in on parchment paper and cover it with plastic wrap or wet cloth so the dough won’t dry out. Proof for 10 minutes.

6. In a pan, heat cooking oil over low heat. Once the oil is hot, fry the donut for about 3 minutes each side or until both sides golden brown. Remove from the heat and rest them on the cooling rack. 7. For the cinnamon sugar coating, mix sugar and cinnamon powder together in a medium sized bowl and roll the donuts in a cinnamon sugar mixture until coated. 8. The donuts are best eaten the day they are made. Enjoy!
