Recipe Notes

– If you prefer your meals with a kick, you can add finely chopped red chilies or crushed red pepper flakes to the ground beef mixture as you saute it. You could also drizzle sriracha over the lettuce wraps just before serving them. – Let the sauce work its magic. Once the beef is cooked, the next step is glazing it with a delectable Asian sauce. Let the sauce and beef simmer until it has thickened and clinging on to each beefy morsel for an explosion of sweet, savory, meaty filling for this Asian lettuce wrap recipe. – Allow the ground beef to cook undisturbed for a few minutes after breaking into pieces when cooking. This allows the pieces to brown nicely and have crisp edges. If you move the meat around in the pan too much, it will steam rather than sear. – For a fun flavor twist, try substituting the gochujang with Thai red curry paste and 1 Tbsp. of the soy sauce with fish sauce.
