1. Divide 1 sheet of danish pastry into 3 parts then put them together into each of the rest of danish pastry by lightly moistening them with a little water and pressing them together at the connecting edges. . 2. Trim each danish pastry into triangles with a base of 10 cm, this will make 2 triangles. Top croissant with smoked beef or ham on the wider part of the triangle then add sliced cheddar cheese.
3. Starting from the wider end, roll each triangle up. Place it into a baking pan and make sure that the tip is tucked under the croissant. Proof the croissant for 1.5-2 hours. 4. Preheat the oven at 180°C (356°F). 5. For the egg wash: mix the egg and milk. Then apply it to the surface of the dough. 6. Bake the ham and cheese croissants until they are golden brown, about 20-25 minutes.
