Macaroni Schotel is a dish that is similar to macaroni and cheese but has variations by adding meat, vegetables, and spices according to taste. Famous as baked pasta, this dish makes everyone love it. This dish has become a culinary legacy brought by the Dutch to Indonesia during the colonial period.
3. White sauce: In the same pan, melt butter then add flour, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Cook until the flour changes color. Gradually add milk, parmesan, grated cheese, and mushroom powder. Stir until the sauce thickens. Transfer the sauce to a medium bowl.
