Sweet Porridge Mung Beans is a typical Indonesian dessert made from mung beans cooked in coconut milk and sugar. This dessert is very popular in Indonesia. Not only is it delicious and will fill your belly but it is also healthy because it uses ingredients that are rich in nutrients. When serving it, you can usually add other dishes to add to the culinary experience.

1. Boil ¼ cup of water then add palm sugar until completely dissolved then remove from the heat and set aside. 2. Boil water in a pot over medium heat then add mung beans, ginger, pandan leaves, and salt. 3. Sieve the palm sugar syrup and pour it into the porridge and let it boil until the mung beans tender, about 30 minutes.

4. Dilute the cornstarch with 1 tbsp of water and pour it into the porridge and stir. 5. Add in coconut cream, stir and let it boil for another 5 minutes. Turn off the heat and transfer into a serving bowl. Enjoy!
