In a bowl soak the white bread in cold water for 5 minutes. Set aside.
Combine ground beef with parmesan cheese, chopped basil, garlic, salt, black pepper, and egg. Mix with a fork or your hand until evenly distributed.
Crush the white bread then add it into the meatballs mixture and mix again.
Shape about 2 tbsp meatball batter into a ball. Do the same with the rest of the meatball batter.
In a pan, heat the cooking oil over medium heat.
Fry the meatballs until both sides of the meatballs are nice and golden.
After the meatballs are cooked, transfer them to a bowl. Set aside.
Using a pan that was used to fry meatballs, sauté garlic for 1 minute then add all the marinara sauce ingredients.
Crush the tomatoes with your spatula while the sauce is cooked. Simmer for 5 minutes. Add fried meatballs and stir until the meatballs are coated. Simmer again for 1 minute then turn off the heat. Set aside
Boil water and salt in a large pot. After the water is boiling, add spaghetti pasta until al dente, and drain well.
Garnish with fresh basil before serving. Enjoy!
