Thai Seafood with Basil

Ingredients

  • 10 Oz Shrimp deveined
  • 10 Oz Squid cleaned (bodies and sliced into rounds. tentacles left whole or chopped in half if desired)
  • ½ Onion sliced
  • ¼ cup Coconuut milk
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Pepper
  • ½ cup Fresh basil Loosely packed
  • Vegetable oil

Sauce

  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp Green onion sliced
  • ½ tsp Grated ginger
  • tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp Fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 3 tbsp Lime juice
  • ½ tsp Onion Powder
  • 2 tsp Chili flakes
  • 1 tsp Light brown sugar

Instructions

  1. mix all ingredients for the sauce: garlic, grated ginger, onion powder, green onion, soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, lime juice, sesame oil, brown sugar, and chili flakes. Stir and set aside.

  2. heat vegetable oil in a medium pan, saute onion until fragrant and slightly softened

  3. add shrimp and squid, and saute until the seafood is cooked.

  4.  pour in the sauce mixture and stir. add the coconut milk, salt, and pepper.

  5. then add basil leaves. turn off the heat and stir until the ingredients are well mixed, and the taste is perfect

  6. now your Thai seafood with basil is ready, enjoy!
