Ingredients of Baked Garlic Butter Lobster Tail
- Lobster Tails; This recipe works with both warm water and cold water lobster, even the frozen lobster is right if you can’t find the fresh one. You can buy lobster tails at most grocery stores or at the seafood market (the freshest option), I couldn’t find bigger lobster here, so my lobster was small to medium size.
- Melted Unsalted Butter; Adds flavor, locks in moisture, and helps with browning. I use unsalted butter and add salt separately. unsalted butter allows for more control over the amount of salt in the recipe and flavoring the butter mixture yourself.
- Dried Pepper Flakes; as garnish A sprinkle of pepper flakes adds a touch of heat to the dish.
- Fresh Parsley chopped; as garnish as well, a little bit of fresh herbs makes a lot of difference.
- Garlic minced; Minced garlic is more likely to burn (and won’t mix with the other ingredients as well), so I don’t recommend it for broiled lobster tail.
- Salt and Black Pepper; To taste. Use kosher salt for coarse flakes that are easier to distribute. You can also add paprika and cayenne powder for a spicier flavor.
- Lemon Juice; Not only does it pair perfectly with seafood, but fresh lemon juice also makes the lobster meat more tender. I also save some lemon wedges for serving. It’s seafood’s favorite friend!
